I'd recommend Lauren Collander Interiors to anyone who has to do both architectural and furniture design. I think they were able to cover both of those aspects of our project, which for a new construction project is really important.

The whole experience from start to finish was really easy. It was fun. We were so delighted not only with the final project, how this home turned out, how it reflected both of our styles, but we absolutely loved working with Lauren and her team.

Project Overview:

This new construction home is the residence of a family that needed more space than their brownstone in Chicago.  Their active lifestyle is now supported by private and independent spaces including a playroom, office, and quiet bedrooms. This also includes a grand first floor/garden for entertaining.

We focused on a balance of traditional details for the wife, modern elements for the husband, and as always-compromise! Natural textures paired with select brighter colors allow for jaw-dropping moments as you enter the house. A basement bar with two-way glass panels filters natural light in so it feels like an extension of the first floor.

Master bathroom “His and Her” vanities are calming against a vibrant mosaic floor. The crisp white tub pops as you open the double doors.

Comfortable, child-friendly, and cool furniture pieces show our greatest ability…to design amazing spaces for stress-free living!
