The table, chairs, and settee showcase exceptional craftsmanship, with the settee upholstered in bright chartreuse mohair fabric that reflects the homeowner’s love of color. A stunning sculptural chandelier above the table serves as a focal point, paying homage to the homeowner’s original works.
The workspace is both practical and inspiring, featuring a small desk area with custom shelving ideal for sketching or tackling emails. Nearby, the space includes a fireplace that creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. Built-in bookshelves, designed to blend seamlessly into the adjacent kitchen, serve as a functional and stylish solution. Our client’s husband requested a well-appointed bar space in the kitchen for his nightly glass of scotch, while she wanted a dedicated area for photos and cookbooks—both wishes were thoughtfully incorporated.
This project was one of convenience and careful planning. While the clients were out of town, they entrusted us and the contractor with their home, handing over the keys and a shared vision. Guided by a detailed design plan and a calculated strategy, we completed the transformation seamlessly. We opted for new cabinetry at the desk and fireplace bookshelves but chose to retain and repaint the existing kitchen cabinetry, pairing it with new natural stone countertops in a soft, warm tone. To perfect the look, the homeowner personally mixed the exact white shade she envisioned for the cabinetry, which we color-matched for flawless results. This approach aligned with the clients’ long-term goals while minimizing disruption to their lives.
